Irish actor Jack Reynor wins top prize at Sundance Film Festival
IRISH ACTOR JACK Reynor has taken a top prize at the Sundance Film Festival for his role in the film Glassland.
Scannain.com reports that Reynor won the World Cinema Special Jury Prize for Acting for his portrayal of John, a taxi driver who gets tangled up in the world of human trafficking while struggling with his mother’s alcoholism.

The film, by Kerry writer/director Gerard Barrett, also stars Toni Collette as John’s alcoholic mother.
The film earned rave reviews at the film festival, with Indiewire singling out Reynor’s “career-making” performance:
Next up for Reynor are film adaptations of Macbeth, with Michael Fassbender, and Sebastian Barry’s The Secret Scripture, with Rooney Mara and Vanessa Redgrave.
